Having a mentor can help you:
Expectations for mentors and mentees:
- Learn from the experiences of other librarians
- Develop relationships with librarians and KASL members
- Identify and achieve your goals
- Support and encourage career advancement
- Grow your Professional Learning Network
Expectations for mentors and mentees:
- Current KASL member
- Willingness to communicate with mentor/mentee as often as necessary (suggested 4-6 times per year)
- Share knowledge, skills, and experiences with each other
